The Odisha State Open University offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) course through distance learning mode. It is a 2 to 4-year postgraduate program. OSOU provides this MBA distance course with a specialization in Disaster Management. OSOU MBA Distance Course Duration & Eligibility Criteria

The duration of the OSOU MBA distance course is 2 years, which is the minimum duration for completion. The program is divided into 4 semesters across these 2 years. The maximum duration allowed is 4 years, covering up to 8 semesters. This flexible structure allows students to learn at their own pace without strict time constraints and gives them sufficient time to complete their studies comfortably.

The eligibility criteria for the OSOU distance MBA program require a graduation degree. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a UGC or AICTE-recognized university with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. For reserved category students, a minimum of 45% marks or above is required.

Students who have qualified in national-level entrance tests such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, XAT, GMAT, OJEE, or other similar exams recognized by AICTE/UGC are also eligible to apply. In addition, in-service professionals from government, defence, or other recognized sectors who meet the minimum eligibility criteria are also eligible for admission.

OSOU MBA Distance Course Fees 2026

The Odisha State Open University offers a balanced and transparent fee structure for all its courses, including the MBA program. The course fee is required to be paid after admission confirmation. The admission and first semester fee is ₹30,000, which can be paid in two instalments.
